Our environment

You will join the sales team consisting of 1) the Head of Sales who is also the general manager of the Rotterdam office 2) a Sales Manager, and 3) a Sales Support colleague. The Rotterdam office consists of 21 colleagues with 8 nationalities: Dutch, Belgian, Polish, South African, Chinese, Croatian, Italian, and Iranian. Our modest office is located in Rotterdam Brainpark, which is right next to Erasmus University, Hogeschool Rotterdam, and Erasmus Sport. The local government and companies are developing Brainpark into an attractive place for work, study, and life. Your responsibilities

Quality & process improvement

  • Lead process mapping, gap analysis, and root cause analysis for operational issues
  • Support the development, documentation, and rollout of SOPs and standard processes
  • Monitor quality KPIs and support corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure process improvements are implemented and sustained in operations

Productivity & automation execution

  • Identify productivity improvement opportunities within operational workflows
  • Support and drive automation initiatives (e.g. RPA, workflow digitalization, system enhancements)
  • Work with IT and operations teams to define requirements, test solutions, and support implementation
  • Track and report improvements in productivity and quality

Continuous improvement projects

  • Manage improvement projects from problem definition through implementation
  • Apply structured methodologies to deliver measurable operational results
  • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional problem-solving sessions
  • Support pilots and scaling of successful solutions across teams or regions

Performance reporting & governance

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and tracking tools
  • Provide data-driven updates on progress, risks, and outcomes

  • Ensure visibility of improvement initiatives across stakeholders

You are

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5–8 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or process improvement
  • Hands-on experience in process improvement and/or automation initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and execution-driven
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience in international or multi-country environments is a plus

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of account managers to achieve both team and individual targets

  • Take full ownership of key accounts, acting as the main point of contact for both commercial and operational topics

You are

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 8–10 years of experience in key account management or similar roles within logistics/ocean freight, including 3–5 years of team management experience
  • Strong knowledge of logistics solutions (ocean freight, air, rail, trucking, warehousing, 4PL)
  • Fluent in German and English with strong communication skills
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven
  • Strong in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Confident in negotiation and presentation at senior levels
  • Analytical, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment

You are

  • 3–5 years of experience in project management, business analysis, or system implementation
  • Experience in logistics, 3PL/4PL, or supply chain digitalization is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, structured, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
